About Doc
Dr. Craig Dossman
Affectionately known as "Doc" by all, Dr. Craig Dossman, Jr. is deemed by many as the top sports medicine practitioner in Southern California.
He is sought out by athletes on every level - Pop Warner football, youth track, high school, college, and professional - and has become the go to guy
for the demographic of youth, ages 12-25.
Words such as passionate, personable, energetic, animated, spiritual, compassionate, no-nonsense, and hilarious are all used to describe this gifted practitioner. Doc is both loved and respected in his beloved Long Beach community for his care and dedication to the youth. Although he is a clinic owner and director who works with the community and various local schools, his reputation was developed through his professional relationship with the Long Beach Polytechnic High School Athletic department, a nationally recognized powerhouse.
He is often seen at various sporting events lending his time. Quite simply, he is unorthodox in every way. In fact, you would never know he is a doctor if you met him on the street. You might even mistake him for a patient when you visit his office. Doc is hypomanic, filled with endless energy and ideas, and always planning his newest innovation and treatment approach. Compounding his accomplished work in Sports Medicine, he is also the creator of Vocal Biomechanical Rehabilitation (VBR), an unprecedented vocal rehabilitative therapy, the developer/owner of various pending patent ideas such as Dossman Advantage Taping (patent pending), a system that enhances deep tendon reflexes to increase speed and improve muscle recovery in athletes.
Doc Dossman is the owner and clinic director of his sports medicine practice in downtown Long Beach. As if his plate isn't full enough, he serves on the Advisory Board for the Fremont College Sport Science Program. He also serves on the Diversity Council to the President at the Southern California University of Health Sciences, where he is a Supervising Doctor for the Post Graduate Internship Program. A Southern California native, Doc resides in Long Beach with his wife, Rashida and son, Craig III. He enjoys spending time at home with his family, exercising, making people laugh, and is the worship leader at his church.
